HOW TO WORK WITH US

Custom Drinkware Ordering Process

Six steps from first message to loaded pallet. Every step has a fixed trigger, a fixed output and one person accountable for it — so nobody is guessing where the order stands.

Get a Quote

Send the model or the use case, quantity, material, decoration, packing and destination. With those six points we can price against a real specification instead of a guess. If the product does not exist yet, start with the development routes instead. — usually within one working day.

Request a Sample

Before mass production you approve a physical sample: colour against the chip, logo position and size, lid fit, wall thickness and how the surface feels in the hand. Sample lead time is 7–12 days from artwork approval. Sample fees and courier costs are refunded against the bulk order — see free samples.

Place Your Order

The approved sample becomes the specification. We issue a proforma invoice with model, material, decoration, packing, quantity, price basis and delivery date. Production is scheduled once the deposit clears.

Start Production

Moulding, then decoration, then assembly. You get a production schedule with the dates that matter — material in, moulding start, decoration start, packing start — and a photo update at each milestone. The full route is on the manufacturing process page.

Quality Inspection

In-process checks plus a final AQL inspection before packing: appearance, dimensions, leak test where relevant, colour against the approved sample, print adhesion and carton drop. Reports and photos come to you. AQL levels, test items and the reports you receive are set out under quality control.

Shipping

We book against your forwarder or quote freight ourselves. Documents — invoice, packing list, and certificate of origin where needed — go out before the container is sealed, not after. Cartons and pallet patterns are agreed earlier, under custom packaging.

ORDER SHIPPING

Main Shipping Methods for Drinkware

Four routes cover almost every order we ship. The right one depends on volume, deadline and how much of the customs paperwork you want to handle.

Container ships at a seaportSEA
20–45days door to door

Sea Freight (Ocean Shipping)Best for: large volumes, bulk orders, cost-sensitive shipments

Options

  • FCL — one customer occupies the whole container (20GP / 40GP / 40HQ)
  • LCL — shared container, charged by cubic metre

Advantages

  • Lowest cost per unit
  • The normal route for mass production and repeat replenishment

Considerations

  • Longer transit: typically 20–45 days door to door, depending on destination port
  • Book early around Chinese New Year and the pre-Christmas peak

Typical applications

  • Wholesale orders
  • Retail chain supply
  • Long-term inventory planning
Air cargo loadingAIR
3–10days airport to airport

Air FreightBest for: urgent orders, medium volumes, high-value products

Advantages

  • Transit around 3–10 days airport to airport
  • More predictable than sea when a launch date is fixed

Considerations

  • Cost per kilo is several times sea freight
  • Charged on volumetric weight, so light bulky cartons are expensive

Typical applications

  • New product launches
  • Urgent restocking
  • Time-sensitive promotions

Express Courier (DHL / FedEx / UPS)Best for: samples, small orders, urgent deliveries

Advantages

  • Door to door with tracking
  • Fastest option, usually 3–7 days
  • Paperwork handled by the courier

Considerations

  • Highest cost per unit
  • Not sensible above a few hundred kilos

Typical applications

  • Pre-production samples
  • Trial orders
  • Replacement or urgent shipments
Container freight trainRAIL
18–25days to Europe

Rail Freight (China–Europe Routes)Best for: medium volumes between Asia and Europe

Advantages

  • Faster than sea, cheaper than air
  • Reasonably stable rates

Considerations

  • Limited routes; not available for every European destination
  • Schedules are less frequent than weekly sailings

Typical applications

  • European warehouse replenishment
  • Buyers balancing cost against transit time

DOOR TO DOOR

Door-to-Door Delivery

We quote FOB Shenzhen as standard. If you would rather not run your own freight forwarder, we can quote landed: export clearance, ocean or air leg, import duty and the final delivery to your warehouse or an Amazon FBA centre, on one invoice.

Local Truck Delivery

The classic sea-freight-to-door route. After arrival the container is cleared and delivered by local carrier. Cost-efficient above roughly 3 CBM; the last leg usually takes 3–10 days after the port release, depending on the carrier's schedule.

Best for

  • Large-volume shipments
  • Cost-focused replenishment
  • Retail and wholesale distribution

Local Express Delivery

The sea leg stays the same, but the last mile is split into parcels and handed to a domestic courier. For mid-volume orders this is usually faster than a full truck and cheaper than flying, with a practical minimum around 50 kg.

Best for

  • Faster replenishment without paying air freight
  • Mid-volume shipments
  • Buyers balancing speed against cost

How Most Buyers Choose?

  • Lowest landed cost: sea freight, FCL or LCL, on DDP terms
  • Fastest delivery: express courier for samples, air for the rest
  • Best balance: sea plus local express, or rail for Europe
  • Simplest process: let us quote door to door on one invoice

Flexible & Secure Payment Terms

Built for brands and bulk buyers. We are a factory in Shenzhen, not a trading company, so the payment route matters: it decides who carries the risk between the deposit and the container.

Below are the channels we actually accept. If anyone asks you to pay into an account that is not on this list, stop and call the number on our contact page before you send anything.

Important notice

We only accept payment through the channels below. Any request outside them is not from us — verify first at christoph_enrico@hotmail.com.

T/T Wire Transfer

Recommended for bulk and repeat orders

The standard for international trade and the cheapest route: bank charges are typically USD 20–40 per transfer regardless of amount.

Normal terms are 30% deposit to schedule production, 70% against the copy of the bill of lading. For repeat customers we can discuss other splits.

Key notes
  • Company account only — no personal accounts, no cash, no cheques
  • SWIFT or Hong Kong CHATS both work
  • Bank details are re-sent with every proforma invoice so you can compare them

Alibaba Trade Assurance

Best if you want the order held by a platform

We rank first in the bottle-opener category on Alibaba, and orders placed through Trade Assurance are covered by the platform's payment protection.

The money is held until the agreed shipping date and inspection terms are met, which suits first orders and buyers who have not worked with a Chinese factory before.

Best used for
  • First order with a new supplier
  • Orders where you want platform mediation as a backstop
  • Buyers who already purchase through Alibaba

PayPal / Card

Samples and small trial orders only

Convenient for sample fees and small trials, but the processing fee is high, so we pass it through at cost rather than absorbing it into the unit price.

A 5% surcharge applies to PayPal payments; for bulk orders please confirm in advance whether it can be accepted at all.

Best used for
  • Sample and mould-development fees
  • Orders under a few thousand dollars
  • Buyers who need card payment for accounting reasons
